Meteo
Transparent Sound Film Club 3.
As part of a joint event by Budapesti Moziestek and the Transparent Sound New Music Festival, audiences will have the opportunity to see the cult film by András Monory Mész in a newly restored image and sound. Connected to the distinctive cyberpunk, dystopian, and post-apocalyptic film trends of the 1980s, Meteo reveals a Budapest that no longer exists—and perhaps was already hidden even at the time of filming in 1988.
Following the screening, the film’s two composers, János Másik and Tibor Szemző, will join a discussion moderated by film critic László Kolozsi and composer Marcell Dargay.
Admission to the program is free, but registration is required, and we can accept a maximum of 80 applicants for the screening. Register by email at papp.krisztina@bmc.hu, deadline: January 23, 2026, 12:00. We will send a response letter for both successful and unsuccessful registrations.
